There will be some swelling for up to a week, as well as some bruising which resolves with time. Your nose and upper lip will feel slightly tender and tight for a few days, and this will also improve over the next few days. There is a very rare chance of infection and allergic reaction, and a rare chance of hypertrophic scarring at the insertion site that may take up to several weeks to reduce. Unlike dermal fillers to the nose area, HIKO nose threads do NOT have any risk of blindness. Other complications include damage to deeper structures such as nerves, blood vessels, and muscles (injury may be permanent or temporary), reaction to local anaesthesia, delayed healing (smoking, alcohol, etc), granulomas, and sutures may extrude, and may need to be trimmed or surgically removed in the future.

You will see an instant result after your treatment where your bridge and nose tip are more lifted and defined, however, there is swelling and potential bruising present. Swelling and bruising usually subsides after 1-2 weeks. Best results are seen at 3-6 months once new collagen has been stimulated to maintain the shape of your lifted nose, with results lasting up to 24 months (individual results vary). There is a semi-permanent effect with the treatment as it stimulates natural collagen production by your own tissues, thus, your new nose will continue to improve and be sustained.

The treatment can be tolerated with numbing cream applied prior to procedure, as well as local anaesthetic.

Please monitor for any signs of infection or concern, and please avoid make-up for 24hrs to minimize risk of infection. No firm pressure to the area, and keep the treatment area clean. Ice packs can be applied to reduce swelling and bruising, and steam/sauna is not recommended for the next 7 days to reduce bruising.

• A $50-$100 consult fee/deposit is required for appointments depending on the service. This can be taken out of your treatment total where another $50-$100 consult fee/deposit is required for your next appointment, or it can be left on your file as a holding deposit for subsequent visits

• Your deposit has a 3 month expiry date from the date of transaction, with a maximum of 3 reschedules before being forfeited

• Reminder SMS and Emails are sent out 48hrs (72hrs for emails) prior to the appointment in case you need to reschedule

• There is a 24hr cancellation period

• If the appointment is cancelled/rescheduled within 24hrs of the appointment or if there is a no-show, the deposit is forfeited, or a $50-$100 cancellation fee will be charged to your card on file

• If you are late to the appointment and are unable to complete the treatment, 1 reschedule is allowed before deposit is forfeited (deposit is forfeited if not rescheduled within 3 months)
