Rejuran

Rejuran works by stimulating fibroblasts within the skin, leading to increased collagen and elastin production, therefore, an improvement in skin firmness and tightness, and a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size. Polynucleotides also help reduce inflammation and promote wound healing since it stimulates fibroblasts, and also helps to improve hydration and pigmentation, and brightens your complexion, resulting in luminous skin. There are different types of Rejuran, all targeting a different concern and area. Treatment areas include the eye to improve subtle hollowness and wrinkles, and face to improve healing, pore size, hydration, elasticity, and wrinkles.

Whilst other non-surgical cosmetic treatments focus on temporarily relaxing the muscles and restoring volume loss, Rejuran focuses on improving skin quality and texture. Rejuran is suitable for those with a seafood/salmon allergy as the DOT™ technology allows for extraction of pure polynucleotides that is free from allergenic protein components. No reported issues related to this have been reported over the past 10 years.

Rejuran works by activating your own skins' regenerative ability to restore its' own collagen structure and elastin. Results can be visible 4-6 weeks after your first treatment, with best results 12 weeks after your last treatment (individual results vary). Expected results include a reduction in fine lines and pore size, and improvement in skin luminosity, hydration, and overall a smoother complexion. It is recommended to have 3-4 sessions in 4 weekly intervals, followed by maintenance sessions every 6-9 months to maintain results.

Swelling, itchiness, and tenderness is expected, along with tiny blebs in your skin, especially in the first 1-2 days of treatment. There is always a risk of bruising as we are dealing needles and cannulas. Minor flaking, dryness, and peeling may last several days. Bruising, which is usually very small and pinpoint, can take up to 7-10 days to resolve, though individual results vary. A very rare complication is vascular occlusion where Rejuran is injected into an artery or vein, and prevents blood flow and oxygenation to surrounding tissue. This can result in tissue necrosis, stroke, and blindness. Vascular occlusions can be reversed and managed. Other rare complications include infection and allergic reactions.

It is advised to avoid any heat-inducing activities, caffeine, and rigorous exercise for at least 2 days after treatment. Sun avoidance is highly recommended to reduce risk of pigmentation (please use broad spectrum SPF – available in clinic). Avoid any pressure or massaging on the treated area for at least 48hours after the procedure to allow for natural healing, and avoid any other skin treatments for 2 weeks. Do not apply any make-up for 24 hours or any active skincare for 1-2 days, and avoid touching the treatment site for the next few hours to reduce infection risk.

• A $50-$100 consult fee/deposit is required for appointments depending on the service. This can be taken out of your treatment total where another $50-$100 consult fee/deposit is required for your next appointment, or it can be left on your file as a holding deposit for subsequent visits

• Your deposit has a 3 month expiry date from the date of transaction, with a maximum of 3 reschedules before being forfeited

• Reminder SMS and Emails are sent out 48hrs (72hrs for emails) prior to the appointment in case you need to reschedule

• There is a 24hr cancellation period

• If the appointment is cancelled/rescheduled within 24hrs of the appointment or if there is a no-show, the deposit is forfeited, or a $50-$100 cancellation fee will be charged to your card on file

• If you are late to the appointment and are unable to complete the treatment, 1 reschedule is allowed before deposit is forfeited (deposit is forfeited if not rescheduled within 3 months)
