Beauty B Peel – Beauty B Peels are a natural peeling procedure for skin regeneration based on a mixture of 14 natural herbs, and is safe for pregnant/breastfeeding mums. It provides hydration and smoother skin with no down time or visible peeling. This peel also helps regulate excess oiliness and reduces impurities and any inflammation in the skin to reduce breakouts. There are 5 different treatment options depending on your skin concern – Hydrated, Brighter, Younger, Calmer, or Clearer. 6 weekly treatments over 6 weeks are recommended for long-term results.
Phyto P Peel – a moderate peel. This peel contains natural herbs and enzymes, but does not cause microinjuries on the skin and acid mantle (reduced risk of irritation or sensitivity). Mild flaking is observed after 2-3 days to reveal a smoother complexion. There are 4 targeted treatments to choose from – Energizer (suitable for most skin types), Calm (helps rebalance red, inflamed, or sensitive skins without irritation), Phyto Clear (detoxifying treatment for congested, acneic skins to reduce excess oil flow and clear breakouts), or Phyto Restore (a firming treatment suitable for mature, sun damaged skins). The Phyto P peel can be repeated every 2-3 weeks.
Corrective C Peel – an intense, resurfacing treatment to reveal newer skin in 5 days. The C Peel contains natural botanicals and herbs to deeply exfoliate and regenerate new skin cells, and helps reduce pigmentation, breakouts, signs of premature ageing, and skin irregularities. There is approximately a 5 day downtime with this peel where your old skin will gently slough off to reveal your new complexion with less pigmentation and fine lines. This treatment INCLUDES a second treatment after day 5, as well as your aftercare products with a value of $200 RRP. It is recommended to go through a B Peel and P Peel before starting a C Peel.
Your skin may look slightly red after your treatment, which will resolve in 30-60min. Your skin will feel prickly for a few days, and will gradually start to feel tight around day 3-5 before sloughing off to reveal smoother, tighter skin (Corrective C Peel). If you do not follow the aftercare instructions, you may experience temporary hyperpigmentation which will eventually resolve if you look after your skin. A thorough medical history is performed prior to this treatment to ensure optimal safety (please book in with the clinic for a full facial and medical health history assessment). Please note, individual results vary.
Results are visible within 1-5 days depending on the peel. A recommended treatment regime is recommended to prolong and maintain your results, however, individual results vary. Your skin will continue to age over time, thus, it is important to have regular treatments to maintain your results.
B Peel - mild exfoliation and minimal flaking, can be repeated every week
Phyto Peel - mild-moderate flaking with moderate exfoliation and resurfacing, can be repeated every 2 weeks
Corrective Peel - deep exfoliation with complete flaking for deep resurfacing, can be repeated every 4 weeks
As these treatments target the deeper layers of your skin for cell renewal, it is essential you look after your skin post-treatment to reduce complications and boost results. At LadyGrace Aesthetics, we are trained in assessing your skin and in devising a treatment plan specially made for you. We will assess your skin and your concerns to recommend you the most effective and safe way to achieve your results.
BEFORE your treatments, it is recommended that you:
• Avoid prolonged sun exposure for at least 4 weeks before your treatment as this can increase your chances of hyperpigmentation.
• Stop using any actives such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and acids (except for hyaluronic acid) for at least 4 weeks before your treatment.
• Advise us if you have had any procedures in the last 4 weeks as this can affect your treatment results.
• Advise us of your allergies, medications, and medical health history to prevent complications.
• Avoid alcohol, intense exercises and heat-inducing procedures for at least 48 hours as this can induce more inflammation / hyperpigmentation.
• Continue using your SPF 50+ everyday, gentle cleanser and moisturiser.
• If you have any current infections, skin irritation, rashes, and open wounds on your treatment area, please advise us as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.
• Please SHAVE closely prior to treatment for best results as you will not be able to wet or shave your hair for the next 5 days (this is for the Corrective Peel)
AFTER your treatment:
• To reduce any risks and complications, it is very important that you follow post-care instructions. Your skin is renewed and sensitive during the first 3-5 days depending on your treatment, and needs to be cared for carefully to reduce complications such as hyperpigmentation, very mild burns, scars, and irritation. Following your after-care instructions carefully helps avoid these risks.
You can expect:
• Mild sensitivity and a tingling sensation the first 3-5 days after your treatment.
• Mild redness looking like a mild sunburn for a few days.
• Your skin may start to flake after a few days and can last up to 1 week (this is a GREAT thing as your skin cells are working hard to turnover to reveal new, GLOWING skin).
• Your skin may feel slightly tight after a few days while it is flaking.
• Depending on your skin type and heritage, you may experience short-term post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIHP). Fitz 4 (eg: south east Asians) may experience mild hyperpigmentation even if aftercare is carried out carefully. This is because of the higher melanin content in their skin compared to Fitz 1-3, and when their skin heals, more melanin is rushed to the treatment area to protect itself from the harmful UV rays, thus, higher chance of PIHP. However, note that the PIHP is not permanent (unless you continuously expose yourself to UV rays, heat, or any other factor that contributes to PIHP, or not following aftercare properly), and if cared for, it may only last a few months. Post-care is extremely important in reducing the chances of adverse reactions.
Do NOT:
• Pick or peel at your flaking skin as this can cause scarring or hyperpigmentation. Your skin must flake off naturally. Please use a scrub about 5 days after your treatment to gently exfoliate your skin.
• For C Peel - do not use make-up (except for lipstick and eye make-up) until treatment is complete 1 week later
• Expose your skin to direct or prolonged sun exposure.
• Drink alcohol, or do any intense exercises or heat-inducing activities for at least 48 hours.
• Use any actives on your skin such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, or acids (except for hyaluronic acid) for at least 2 weeks after your appointment.
What to DO:
• For B and P Peel - use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser for the first 5 days to avoid skin sensitivity (we will recommend customised products for you during your appointment).
• For C PEEL - do not wet your skin until Post-Treatment has been performed, follow the prescribed skincare regime and products
• Drink at least 2L of water a day
• Use SPF 50+, and ensure reapplying every 3-4 hours to protect your skin.
• Monitor your treatment area for any signs of infection (please seek medical advice from GP if you suspect an infection – pus, redness, fever, heat, etc).
